Materials:

Sport-weight yarn Fore Õn Aft (100% Acrilan acrylic, 175 yards per 1-3/4oz. skein) by Brunswick: 12 skeins #60410 Oats Heather. Crochet hook size D/3 (3.25mm) or whatever size needed to get correct gauge.

EASY KNIT SHAWL

(Not too long in the back, but long enough to cover arms and tie in front)
Materials: Worsted weight yarn, about 18 oz. 1 29" circular needle , size U.S. 11 
Gauge: 7 sts = 2 inches
Finished size: Measures about 25 inches long from back of neck to back bottom tip. And about 86 inches wide across top wide part.
